Here is an absolutely stunning piece of magic which can be presented as magic or mentalism. Doug Henning once presented a version of this trick for an astonished Johnny Carson.

EFFECT, AS THE AUDIENCE SEES IT:
You call attention to an envelope and state that it contains a prediction, then place the envelope in your pocket. You hand your spectator a deck of cards and ask that she deal through the deck face up, and she may stop wherever she wishes. She really does have an absolutely free choice. When she stops dealing, you reproduce the envelope and immediately open it to reveal a duplicate of the card she stopped at. Simple, straight forward and astonishing.

PERFORMANCE NOTE:
This trick requires no sleight of hand. The spectator handles the deck of cards throughout the routine and you don’t touch the deck until the trick is over.

WHAT YOU’LL RECEIVE:
